Future-oriented solution of municipal disposal

There are special laws with respect to the disposal of municipal waste, sewage sludge and other waste. So the German „TA Siedlungsabfall“ decrees that since of 2005 only inert and indissoluble matters are allowed to be dumped. Municipal waste, sewage sludge and other waste are neither inert nor indissoluble – so they can no longer be dumped. The solution for this problem is to mineralize this waste. The incineration of municipal waste, sewage sludge and other waste is state of the art and the significant and best proven method of mineralization.

Facing this problem the cities and communities must find a future- oriented solution for waste treatment and waste disposal according to law.

The combustion of waste in a fluidized bed incinerator produces material which can be dumped according to law. The main advantage of the fluidized bed incineration compared with other incineration processes is the fact that fluidized bed incineration is excellently suited for each and all kinds of waste.

Whereas large towns have big waste incineration plants at their disposal small provincial towns and districts cannot afford waste incineration plants of normal size. Because of the relatively small quantities of waste a plant of normal size could neither work at full capacity nor work efficiently. Up to now small provincial towns have only the possibility to transport their waste to a central big incineration plant in order to have the waste combusted in this plant. The transportation of waste by truck can also lead to problems. So small provincial towns are severely restricted in their independence.

The solution is the installation of small incineration plants – compact plants as developed by RASCHKA. These plants will enable small towns and districts to dispose their waste on-location in the town’s own small incineration plants.

The characteristics of the RASCHKA compact plant are a simple, functional design, user-friendly operation and low operating costs. The emission limits and the operation conditions according to the 17. BImSchV are kept with absolute reliability. Moreover, the RASCHKA compact plant is excellently suited to be realized as a BOT (build-operate-transfer) - model.
